The Rotary Engine

The Mazda Wankel Rotary Engine are types of rotary combustion and family of car engines. It is well known for its portability and significant power output at the expense of poor fuel efficiency. It is three times smaller than a conventional four-cylinder piston combustion engines and provides less vibrations and stress to the vehicle which makes it an engine which provides a car with superior balance and handling. The characteristics of the Wankel rotary engine give high performance vehicles advantages in all aspects of auto racing except fuel efficiency which includes better tire durability, cornering speeds, acceleration, and top speed.
The performance of the Wankel Engine has made it popular with car enthusiasts in making high performance motor vehicles and even light aircraft enthusiasts but due to its poor fuel economy, it has not been put into mass production in most vehicles and are only applied into a number of high performance vehicles manufactured by Mazda which is the only Automotive manufacturer to use the Wankel rotary engine into serial production. Some of the well-known production sports cars equipped with the Mazda Wankel rotary engine are the Mazda RX-Series.

The 86 Successor

The Toyota 86 released on the year 2012 is the successor of the previous Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 and incorporates most of its concepts with added improvements to its design.
The Toyota 86 is a joint project done by the car manufacturers of Toyota and Subaru, it has specifications similar to its predecessor the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, it incorporates a 2.0L 4U-GSE Boxer Engine, Limited-slip differential, and rear wheel drive.

It has frequently been put in collaboration sequences with the Toyota Sprinte Trueno AE86 in some automotive convention centers and high definition images. It has several added improvements based on the original design such as improved aerodynamic design, power steering, suspension, balance, and efficiency.

The Toyota 86 has obtained many awards all around the world with the Toyota 86 running out of stocks in some Toyota branches around the world.
It has also been frequently used in art works featuring the car being used by the main character, Takumi Fujiwara of the popular television series Initial D because The Toyota 86 was created to respond to the request of fans for the automotive manufacturers to create another future version of the AE86 because of the sheer popularity of the television series to the point of lasting for a decade which caused the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 to become extremely outdated when the television series continued on the 21st century and caused the fans of the television series to demand another car with similarities to the original car of the main character to be used by the main character to compete better with other high performance vehicles and further enhance his skills and capabilities. Even with the demand of the fans for another car, their loyalty to the classic AE86 has not disappeared and most fans still adore the performance and the classic look of the AE86 mostly because the AE86 unlike its successor has outdated parts and the car mostly relies on its driver to perform at its best which is an excellent way to enhance and develop skills such as braking, balance, and drift control which are currently performed by drivers with assistance from advance technologies such as traction control system, Anti-brake locking system, and stability control in the 21st century in the latest vehicles. The AE86 can help driver perform activities which can be equal or even surpass the capabilities of these advanced technologies and the advantage of learning these techniques is the fact that technologies can fail during a performance while a person has a little or zero chance of failing depending on the driver and his physical endurance and capabilities.

The AE86

The Toyota Sprinter Trueno is one of two generations of toyota cars with the AE86 chassis, it has many nicknames such as the AE86, Hachi-Roku, or Simply 86. It has a 1.6 liter Dual-overhead cam 4-cylinder twin cam fuel injection engine, limited slip differential, and rear-wheel drive.
The AE86 was exceptionally fast when it was first introduced and considered as a car with excellent performance.
The AE86 became famous all over the world because of a Japanese television series called Initial D which featured an 18 years old high school student named Takumi Fujiwara who is forced to deliver tofu everyday in the hotel at a mountain called Mt. Akina at 4am in the morning by his father in his place for five years, he has developed extraordinary driving skills in the span of five years due to the secret training method done by his father who was ones the fastest downhill racer in Mt. Akina while he delivers tofu, his father puts a cup of water on the cup holder of the car and instructs his son to drive without spilling  the water for the reason of not damaging the tofu with another hidden reason of developing excellent control of the cars balance, he began to develop his skills and quickly became incredibly fast at the downhill of the mountain each year using amazing cornering speeds and braking techniques to the point of drifting with perfect control and leaving only a few centimeters between the car and the guardrail and finally, he encountered the number two driver of the fastest racing team in the region after a delivery and defeated him using an inertia drift despite the opponent having a far more superior Mazda RX-7 FD3S and won the following races he participated in despite refusing to compete at first and having far superior opponents, he gained reputation as the fastest downhill racer in the Gunma Area known as the Akina's 86.

The AE86 became an icon of drifting being regarded as the essential vehicle appropriate for drifting due to it having the limited slip differential which is considered essential for drifting and the tranny gears which are mainly used for rallies and excellent at attacking hairpin corners due to the second gear capable of providing excellent torque and provide excellent control during a drift in tight hairpin corners. It is still currently popular to this day in the 21st century and being used in drifting competition despite its age mainly because of the television series and proof of its popularity is the large number of replicas of the AE86 featured in the television series. Even with age and outdated designs, the AE86 is still incredibly popular and can compete with the performance   and appearance of numerous japanese sports cars on this day.
